First came Kriptokitties' buying and selling fever, smart contracts that saturated the Ethereum network and reached exorbitant prices. Now it's time for monsters to take over the blockchain ecosystem. Etheremon is a gaming platform based on the Ethereum blockchain that serves to collect, trade and fight among cryptographic monsters, a new investment of intelligent contracts that is generating increasing popularity on the Internet.
Although it is still in its beta version, which allows you to acquire monsters of different species in exchange for a few ethers, Etheremon plans to become a decentralized game where each user has exclusive rights to their properties and can collect legendary marketable monsters.
The network was created by a group of enthusiastic developers who wanted to blend the characteristics of distributed accounting technologies with a game. In this way, the main focus of the project is that users can collect, trade and fight among different individuals in the community through the monsters they have acquired.
The game has been enabled since December 18, but expects major updates this coming January 1,2018. Transformation that seeks to solve system problems and adapt to the new popularity of the platform, which already has 100 monsters purchased by species.
One of the main changes that the solution will undergo is that each time a person buys a monster of the same type and species, the other competitors will receive a refund amount as an incentive. However, this method now serves to speculate among community members, the developers explained, and will be modified to a new incentive system.
For example, the number of ethermons that can be caught per species will now be limited, with only 22 monsters available per species. There will also be no additional earnings. This new method will allow digital monsters to become very rare and unique items, features that would generate better predictions for trading between players:
"Instead, your Etheremon has become legendarily rare and within a week you will be able to market them on our marketing platform. The only way other players can get those legendary Etheremon is to trade with you!"

Likewise, the network will distribute eggs of the monsters that have been acquired. 0 to 4 eggs will be assigned according to the price the user has invested for their Etheremon. Eggs can be hatched from a female monster, allowing you to have more monsters to trade or fight against other players.
The platform to negotiate these smart contracts will be enabled from January 1, so users can start selling peer-to-peer purchases to other players. Also, the battle area is also being developed in the coming weeks, being this one of the most important areas for the concretion of the game.
Etheremon developers point out that the platform's first generation of monsters, which will be sold at very low prices, will soon be on sale. At the moment, in the beta version, some monsters are already trading at 1,143 ethers, 0.694 ethers and up to 0.762 ethers; this being some of the prices that must be paid to be part of the Ethermons community.
Platforms like Etheremon have already been circulating in the market with a high popularity, as is the case of the CryptoKitties network that came out last October and had a sensational success that still feels on the network. The cryptographic kittens of the Ethereum blockchain exceeded 115,000 dollars. They also took 15% of Ethereum's network processing.
A phenomenon that gave much to talk about, we will have to wait and see if the digital monsters will dethrone the most beloved cryptographic cats on the Internet.
