James and his wife were happy to hear the good news. "so, this is how God works. Your faith was strong and God did it for you. Now I know that God has been good to us."
Later, Johnson and his parents were to Mrs. Clinton to express their profound gratitude for her kind gesture to the family. Mrs. Clinton warmly welcomed them and said, "I must openly confess to you that Johnson was well brought up and that is evident from his deeds. He does not laze about when he is supposed to work. Also, he has never stolen my money nor got engaged in any bad behavior. So I believe I will be comfortable living with him. Moreover, that is my widow's mite to support your family.
In response, James said, "once again, we thank you for the good work and we pray that you will continue to make progress in your life." after a brief refreshment from Mrs. Clinton, they soon left for home
The Clintons had no child. They were married about ten years without a single child. However, they never lost hope. They believed whenever the time came, they would give birth.
Meanwhile, they were more into charity. They were always ready to support the needy. In order to have company at home, they adopted a girl from a motherless babies home.
Linda was the adopted girl's name. She was adopted when she was two years old. They treated her like their blood daughter. In fact, she grew up with the understanding that they were her biological parents. She was very brilliant, intelligent and hardworking.
Mr. Clinton and Linda had already heard a lot about Johnson; so when he moved in to start living with them, they welcomed him warmly. They all continued to live happily.
Luckily, Johnson was a year ahead of Linda; therefore, while Johnson was in junior secondary school 1, Linda was preparing to write the common entrance examination. Within the remaining short period for the examination to commence, Johnson did several revisions with her which in turn made her come out in flying colors when the result was released.
Johnson became very popular in the school due to his brilliance. In fact, he was made the class captain. He was studious and very responsible both at home and at school. Every teacher in the school loved him.
Johnson kept improving academically throughout his stay in the school. His great performance also influenced Linda performance positively.
When it was time to write the WASSCE, Johnson was not found wanting. He prepared well for his exams. Johnson was sure of a very good result.
The result was soon released and he was among the best three students overall. He was happy, the Clinton's were also happy. His parents and teachers all celebrated the great feat in the history of the school.
After his JAMB result was released in which he had a very good result, he was admitted into Federal University of Technology to study civil engineering. Johnson was serious with his studies and after his four year on campus. He graduated with 'first class'.
He did his NYSC program at the Federal capital. He was lucky to serve with a giant expatriate construction company. He was never lazy and was very creative at his work.
His attitude at work caught the attention of Mr. Callitus, the national project coordinator for the company. He therefore recommended him for further training at the headquarters of the company in the United States.
Therefore, immediately after his NYSC program, he left for the training. He was to do the training fur two years. As a result, he was not opportune to visit the country but he regularly communicated with his parents and the Clintons.
After the training program, he was sent back to the country as the Deputy National Project Coordinator for the company. He was given an apartment with an official car and a fat salary. He was happy and appreciated God for helping him achieve his dream.
