It gives me great pleasure to post here after a long hiatus. I forgot to introduce myself in the video coz it's been a while I did this, so I'll be doing it here. This is Femmy Emmanuel with the username
I am particularly happy about the theme for this week's Hive Open Mic theme-The Heaven.
I've been rewatching the Prison Break series recently, and when I got to the scene in season 4 where Brad Bellick died, I literally shed a tear. In that moment, a song came to me—it was Bob Dylan's Knockin' on Heaven's Door, a timeless classic.
This song was originally written as a score for a movie titled Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid in 1973. It was written from the perspective of a dying sheriff who's his last moments. The song was later released officially a couple of months later and soon rose to the top 10 charts, becoming a worldwide sensation.
I do hope you enjoy my humble acoustic rendition of the song.
Here are the lyrics of the song.
Mama take this badge from me
I can't use it anymore
It's getting dark too dark to see
Feels like I'm knockin' on Heaven's door
Knock-knock-knockin' on Heaven's door
Knock-knock-knockin' on Heaven's door
Knock-knock-knockin' on Heaven's door
Knock-knock-knockin' on Heaven's door
Mama put my guns in the ground
I can't shoot them anymore
That cold black cloud is comin' down
Feels like I'm knockin' on Heaven's door
Knock-knock-knockin' on Heaven's door
Knock-knock-knockin' on Heaven's door
Knock-knock-knockin' on Heaven's door
Knock-knock-knockin' on Heaven's door
