INTRODUCTION
With resplendent feather five times the length of his body, the feather will start rissing from his back, as the spectacle reaches it's climax, his tail feather begings to vibrate. This majestic sight is the peacock's courtship ritual, how can a prospective mate possibly resist what is described as the most magnificent advertisement in the world, "PEACOCK".
The peacock will put up longer feather show for onlookers than for hens. The Peacock has a proverbial reputation for pride that stem from his rediness to display all his finery. The Peacock long tail coverts, sparkling eyespots are of different lengths enabling them to form a perfectly shaped fan. These feathers ranges from copper, bronze, and gold to deep blue green and voilet.
As a native of INDIA, The villagers also value it as an effective predator of cobra and other poisonous snakes. His apperent insensitivity to the cobra venom has made the peacock a symbol of divinity, and immortality in the Orient. Some thousands of years ago,the importation of Peacock by king Solomon of ancient times could probably be the Introduction of Peacock to the Mediterranean. Other Countries latter imported Peacock latter: Peacock impressed Alexander the great of Greece, so much that he forbade any of his soldiers to kill them.
CONCLUSION
Even today few people if any, will remain unmoved by the Peacock unique show.
