Sometimes i will just feel so bad about the situations and circumstances of things going on around me, it makes me feel sad, but i often draw my confidence and courage from God's word, there are those during the bible times who went through perilous times, moment of trial, desperate moments moments were their faith were tested and tried and they overcome, the bible is full of stories, courageous stories of men who withstood difficult moments, some worst than ours, while rounding things in my head i realise that even our lord Jesus Christ went through one of the most difficult times ever, but still he overcame and conquered and because he did we are more than conquerors.
Jesus came in to finalise and fix this once and for all, because Satan has cause humanity to go through worst times, punish us, as the result of our ignorant, thats why the bible says in Isaiah my people are perish for lack of knowledge, ignorance is satans strongest weapon against the believer, however there is hope in Christ jesus, because he came down to earth to bear the human burden to the cross nailed it there died with it amd resurrected with a holyspirit as pure as white, in the cross jesus says it is finish he overcame all powers of Darkness and hell, he demolish and made open the works of darkness and so we can now boldly say that we overcame too by the blood of the lamb and also by the words of our testimony.
Last year Living Faith Chapel one of Nigeria's biggest churches came up with a theme for these year that says.....FLOURISHING IN HARD TIMES these theme for the annual shiloh convention held in canaan land, Lagos Nigeria, i believe Bishop Oyedepo had a revelation into how tough 2024 is going to be, so the holy spirit had revealed that to him, so the believer would be prepared for what is coming, just like what Noah Did building an ark against the rainy days.
At this point on time our economy is really down, our money has lost its purchasing power, no value whatsoever, we are literally suffering, starving, the government has failed the people everyday the cost price of everything keeps going up, making life so difficult and harsh, so at this point its really hard.
My believe has always been during darkest moments like this, breakthrough is around the corner, most of all the courageous characters in the bible we know at the height of it all there was a breakthrough, the darkest moment at night is usually before the break of dawn, i also believe when tough times come it is to prepare us, strengthen us, build us up, make us able to withstand whatever pressure that is coming, God is faithful to perform whatever is our request, he said that he will supply all our needs according to his riches in glory, For He will do exceedingly abundantly above all we could ever ask or imagine...
We must be able to build up courage as Gods People to conquer tough times, sustain our faith in God.
