One of my favorite Latin American writers Gabriel Garcia Marquez said that the only thing he regretted about old age was not having had all that life experience in his youth to not have made so many mistakes, for me that phrase has a lot to do with our own existence because over the years that experience should serve us to be a better version of ourselves, we can not change the past but we can learn from it.
