You are very right when you say that it is a mistake to force the learning of the spelling because that should be done only when the child manages to learn the meaning of the number in its relation of value in function of objects or elements that allow him to make that abstraction. Logical mathematical thinking is innate, which means that human beings have a disposition to learn to relate objects by quantities or weight since we are born. Our world and everything that surrounds us allows us to establish these numerical comparisons if I am taller, how much is my weight, how old I am, friends and so on.
