Phonological awareness represents one of the strengths in the process of learning to read because the phonological pathway, together with the lexical and semantic pathway are constituted as the learning pathway of the reading process. Adequately developing phonological awareness in our children will allow them to appropriate more quickly the meaning and signifier of words, which is evidently composed of a phonic trace and a mental image, and for both to work at the semantic level, children must learn the sounds (phonemes of each of the letters of the alphabet of the language they speak or are learning). A single suggestion and, well that happens very commonly but as we are all to learn is not about phonemes and syllables, because the syllables are made up of phonemes and phonemes that are the minimum units in which words can be separated.
