Hi, how are you all? Everything’s going really well, thank God. To be honest, today was quite a busy day for me; I got loads done and sorted out a lot of things I’d been putting off, but thank goodness everything’s fine. I’m getting ready for a new week of both work and study because, to be honest, my diary’s already packed; I’m even starting dance practice with my niece, so we’ll be, well, absolutely swamped.

I’m popping in first of all to share with you two special moments I had this week, which filled me with both great joy and sadness at the same time – because it’s a feeling that, to be honest, I can’t even explain, and I can’t even say exactly what I felt; I can only tell you that it’s quite intense. The first of these was on Tuesday; my little nephew finally started secondary school and I felt a bit nostalgic because, to me, he’s still just a little boy, and seeing him at secondary school now – to be honest, it’s been quite a big, really big change for me. I’ve come to realise it and I’ve felt as if I were back at secondary school myself because my sister and I have had to go with him.

And on another note, this really did make me cry a lot: it was my cousin Manuel who, as I’d already told you a few days earlier, decided to do the air support course, which lasts a year. He has to be completely away from his family, which is something that, if it were me, would hurt me deeply, and I really do understand it. To be honest, leaving our parents’ home has been a real tearjerker these past few days, but the truth is that I feel very proud of because I know he’s going to achieve the goal he’s set himself. Often we’re born without means and have to adapt to whatever comes our way just to get by, and this fills me with so much pride because he chose this short course so that he can later help his parents and pay for the degree programme he really wants. That’s something which, to be honest, really warmed my heart, and it was very similar to my own experience of studying a degree I didn’t want at first, but then grew to love. So, honestly, this has been a week of mixed emotions where I’ve cried more than you can imagine. But anyway, I’m happy for both of them.
