I just saw a post that earned $145 by 
AND HE GOT IT 100% WRONG!!
We are not being shortchanged or jipped right now!! We are getting a HUGE WINDFALL!!!
Should the calculations be corrected? Probably... But I'm not complaining because we are getting MORE than we should at the moment!!!
Here is my comment/ simplified calculations I just left on his post:
" I believe you are looking at it and calculating it all wrong.
Potential Post payout is shown in USD (with the expectation that 1 SBD is worth 1 USD).
100 USD post... 75% = 75 USD
50/50 is 37.5 SBD and 12 Steem
(Steem is valued at $3 USD on the market now. So you get 1/$3 or 1/3 the Steem than the SBD..... 1 SBD IS CALCULATED AS 1 USD.)
Now lets look again....
$100 USD post gets 37.5 sbd valued at $375 USD plus 12x3=36 USD from the 12 Steem...
Gives you a payout of $411 USD for a post that is supposed to only be worth $100.
We are actually making about 4 to 5 Times MORE than we are supposed to be.
We are not getting jipped.... We are making an un-earned/unintentional WINDFALL. "
I simplified it very much and assumed a market value of $10 per SBD and $3 per STEEM. Those numbers maybe slightly less right now, but were there or higher in the last two weeks. They do for the illustration I wanted to make.
If I have shown something incorrectly, can you please show me in the comment section below! I love to learn and don't mind being corrected.
