A Special Stone (very short story)

In the beginning
there was a special stone
composed of all that would ever exist.
Over time, it’s insides turned to mush
and what we call “water” emerged,
changing the stone forever.
Green grew all over;
the stone itself grew.
Plants and animals were born here.
Now, there’s you.

I was inspired to try to write a short (50-word) story when I saw a post by @jayna who hosts the weekly Fifty Word Challenge. I didn’t end up writing on this week’s #fiftywords prompt, but I did do a long trek and visit a waterfall and felt inspired. So I wrote this instead :) I will probably try a prompt of theirs sometime though because it was a fun exercise to write this short story!
