Genesis 3:8; And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Dam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.
There is something about sin that traps. What it does is basically to cause us to hid and wallow in its ugliness until it swallow us whole and we have not room to breathe by which time it becomes even more difficult than before to seek redemption.
Naturally when we sin or do something that we know society frowns upon we try to hide that act lest it be brought to light and bring us shame, it doing so we end up committing more sins to keep our sins hidden. We lie and manipulate.
We afraid of coming back to Christ when we sin the same way a child fears the father when he goes against his wishes, for fear of been punished or just disappointing the father. But this fear is a trap meant to keep us in the bondage of sin and we need to overcome it.
Christ knows this because he walked among us and knows how we feel which is why he has his arms open to us at all times that we may be redeemed when we bring to him our sins, burdens and transgressions.
The Lord will never leave you to be devoured by sin and the devil, so he says come to me all who are laden and i will give you rest. Pray for forgiveness for all wrong doings and start your week with a clean slate. Have a wonderful time.
