2 Corinthians 7:10; for godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death.
We go through life experiences lots of things or emotions together with so many others and then there are times we feel sorrowful about a situation, an occurrence, and an action we perhaps undertook etc however this passes away with time. Today our verse is differentiating between two types of sorrow, suffering and regret we go through in life, the one that is of coming to the understanding of ones sins and sinful nature and repenting of the sins with the full intention of not going back to it again but rather becoming a fervent disciple of the Lord and striving to be the very best they can be in terms of humanity and a Christian whereas the other which is of the world leads nowhere
Repentance and sorrow that leads us into salvation demands that we confess of our sins and surrender our all to God. Today I would like to use this opportunity to remind us all that irrespective of the fact that we may know Christ we may or may not have actually repented of our sins and surrendered fully to God, if you happen to fall under this category this is your chance. Use this opportunity to do right by yourself and by the Lord. May the good Lord grant us the courage to approach the throne of grace daily even as we repent of our sins and surrender our all to him.
