John 15:6; If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.
We know that becoming a Christian is something that cannot be taken from anyone, and same goes for our rebirth in Christ and the baptism of the Holy Spirit which may manifest in the forms of spiritual gifting such as seership, prophecy, tongues etc.
But there is one thing we need know which ought to keep us on our toes and remain steadfast in Christ and that is we have the potential to fall from Grace. No matter how powerful we may think we are or how strong our spiritual gifting may be, if we allow our self to lured by the devil into sin, fall into temptation and draw away from God, we can fall from Grace.
And thus is why Christ advised us in the parable of the vineyard to abide in him, it is the same reason why Peter talks to us about been watchful and praying. Greater men than you have fallen, take King David as an example, look at Samson etc. We cannot allow ourselves to fall into the devil plans.
So today i remind you, one can fall from Grace and so do not allow yourself to fall, keep fast in the lord, be watchful and Pray and the Lord will abide with you.
