Psalm 119:30; I have chosen the way of the faithful, i have set my heart on your laws. 37; Turn my eyes from looking at unworthy things. Preserve my Life according to your word.
King David once was one go the great psalmist to ever and whenever he was overwhelmed by emotions he always resorted to speaking to the Lord through his writings. He was a man close to God's heart, he worshiped and loved him in all sincerity and am very certain had any person told him that he may sin against God he would have vehemently refused but his eyes mislead him into doing what is not right in the sight of God and to make matters worse he ended up becoming a murderer just to be able to cover up his tracks about his bad deeds. One thing that most of us have come to know and understand in our lives as it stands it that once you lie or commit a crime the only way to hide is to commit more crimes and in the end your sins increase and your punishment becomes enormous
His unguarded eyes cost him a lot, his places to even build a temple for the Lord was taken from him and given to his son because he was not worthy of it anymore. Yet still God forgave him. Another point i'd like to highlight on is that once you commit the sin, if your repent of your sins and approach the throne of Grace in boldness, you will be forgive and your sins erased but beware that you will not escape the punishment due you, hence it is better to do your very possible best to stay away from sin. As most advertisement on teenage sexual health use to say, "Abstinence is the best Choice". May the Good Lord grant you the knowledge, wisdom and foresight to be able to guard your eyes that you may not fall prey to the whims and caprices of the devil. Have a Blessed Day.
