2 Timothy 1:7: For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
Fear is powerful tool that is used to control people and or animals. In the circus the tiger may learn to jump through a hoop for fear of been whipped. In school the pupil may learn to be of good behavior for fear of been punished by the teacher. In the same vain the pupil may fall into bad company for fear of been ridiculed by his peers.
Fear is powerful force which ought to be yielded right. The devil is aware of the power this tool has and holds over living things and so he utilizes it in an attempt to get God people to fall from grace and leave his presence. But knowledge is power and freedom from manipulation and oppression.
The children of God need not fear what the devil can do for we have the creator himself, the Alpha and Omega, he who has authority over all things including the evil to protect us and so he tells us each and everyday of our lives not to fear rather to live in love and sound mind, to flourish and to prosper in life.
And so i repeat this to you as you start you weekend that you may find hope and courage in the Lord and have a peace of mind in everything you do. Fear Not.
