Imagine how excited I was when Youtube recommended this video to me. My first thoughts were, who are this new very informed gents who have taken upon themselves to market "Hive" this hard.. Then I watched the video and realized they were talking of another Hive Blockchain platform, bummer!!

I know there has been a lot of discussion around this many times. Last week I saw @nathanmars bring it up on twitter too. But the branding is something we reallly should have thought more off when this name was decided.

If you watch this video, then scroll through the comments section, you'll see majority of the same questions... Which Hive Crypto are you talking about...Why are there too many Hives etc

While it's too late for this platform to re-brand, heck, majority of the people taking part in Nathans poll didn't want that either, I do wonder how we should set ourselves apart from Hive Blockchain. It's quite clear they are here to stay, they have a strong community and as the video indicates, very professional and good at what they do. To be honest, after watching this video, I've got more curious to know what the hype revolving around it is all about. And that's how good projects/products sell themselves.

If it boils down to branding issues, fact is, we as a community were wrong to accept a name that had already been taken. I don't know who came up with it, but they should have done a little more due diligence. I've heard people say before that Hive Blockchain is a dead project, that it doesn't really focus much on crypto, WRONG! Crypto and blockchain is all they talk about on this video. And with a following of over 100k, well, let's just say we have a lot to make up for.

What do you guys think we could do to solve the confusion revolving around the Hive Brand?
