My Actifit Report Card: October 1 2026| The October Reset!
The change of seasons comes with a lot of life changes. This year, I'm starting the Fall season at a new place, with much better views, facilities and more privacy.
I have to start by talking about this new place with the moonlit nights because it was the full moon when we moved to this new mountain home. And our night views were something like this-which was insanely beautiful!
Even though we start with naming the place, I'm not sure about naming this one since it is going to be a temporary stay until our dream project comes alive in the same mountain village- Shilha!
So, I'm not sure if I should name this place "The Balcony" itself, which was the homestay I was running till now. But this place has no Balcony as such, but a huge apple orchard in front of the place.
When it comes to the apple orchard, it is not just the apples, but also the seasonal produce such as pumpkins. These are the vines that spread around the ground with a bright yellow colour.
It was a dream to have a hammock in this mountain and spend time in it doing our work or reading something we love. We usually used to go to the forest, find pine trees and tie our hammock. Finally, that is happening in front of the room, and it is so much fun!
And the best part is when we look up, there are still apples!!!
Usually, the apple trees are not so strong if they are not old enough. Luckily, the ones we have in the orchards are old enough to have a stronger and thicker trunk.
The Great October Reset!
October started with all the possible great news and feelings in life! The good weather was an added advantage to the whole situation.
As I mentioned, our new place is in the middle of apple orchards. So the changing weather is seen through the apple twigs and leaf tips.
October started with warm days, which turned into cold evenings and colder nights. The daytime is so fun with the sun out for a few hours, and everyone is happy to be outside taking in all the sun they can because soon the duration of the days is going to get shorter and the days are going to get colder.
We particularly love this weather when we can sit outside and do some fun activities.
And just like that, the sky starts to get dark and gloomy. Even then, there were some areas where the sun was shining, and it looked so cool!
Then it started to snow on the top of the mountains, which looked like a mist shower to us. The foggy, misty, cloudy scene was so dramatic and magical, almost like a portal opened up in the sky to the mountains.
Then nature blessed us with rainbows. Yes, rainbows, not just one but two of them stacked upon each other. I'm so grateful to have all these magical things happening on the very first day of this month. It somehow makes me feel hopeful for the coming days :)
And what better than a rainy evening with rainbows?
Hot, crispy potato wedges! And that is exactly how we ended the day!
I can't wait for this magical fall season to begin this year!
