Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge - Carrion Shade

Welcome to another Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge. Here is the original post if you want to enter a battle yourselves.
This week we are featuring a common melee attack monster from Chaos legion called Carrion Shade!
Splinterlore
A carrion shade is a dark-winged bird that feeds off of the dead bodies of animals and people. They often flock to battlefields and dangerous parts of the wilderness where there are sure to be corpses. They travel in small groups and have no natural predators. Most people fear the carrion shades, though. For to see a group following you is to know your life is in danger. Tales whispered by the elder wise women claim that if you see a single carrion shade perched outside your home, then someone you love will die that night.
I have never used this monster before mainly because i dont use the death splinter very much and it doesn't look that great at level 1. The main good thing is it is only 1 mana so you can potentially squeeze him in anywhere.
If we take a look at the stats however we can see this monster gains the Flying ability at level 3 which would definitely make a bit of difference in my decision to use it!

This is a 54 mana level battle with only the Death Splinter allowed.
I have 6 cards in this battle against 6!
Death vs Death
Ruleset = Lost Magic - Monsters with Magic attack may not be used in battles.
As i already mentioned i don't really use the Death Splinter very much so i am limited to level 1 Summoner's and monsters mostly which could be a problem as i am playing in Gold League!
Battle Line Up
This is a great new Death summoner from Chaos Legion with a couple of great abilities. This summoner gives -1 Magic and -1 Health debuffs to the enemies team!
This can really help you win especially when you know your opponent is going to play lots of Magic cards. This will not be the case here due to the Lost Magic Ruleset but the -1 Health debuff is sure to help.
I have the featured monster in first position to hopefully get a hit in before Goblin Mech takes over.
This is one of my favourite tanks particularly since he is Neutral meaning you can play him in almost any battle and he has some impressive stats even at level 1.
I have placed this monster here as a sacrificial lamb so to speak. Sadly he won't be able to attack from this position but as he has the Taunt ability the enemy will target him first. With his massive health and the Flying ability he will be able to take quite a beating while my other monsters are free to attack without taking a hit!
The Sandworm is here to take out the enemy from the rear with rhe Sneak ability.
This monster will provide Ranged support from the rear.
In the last position we have another ranged attack monster who is sure to do some damage with the True Strike ability. This means it cannot miss!
Battle Walkthrough
As the warriors enter the arena we get our first look at the enemy and it doesn't look good since i have only level 1 monsters and my opponent his higher level cards!
Round 1 begins as expected with the enemy attacking Dark Ha'On until Harklaw destroys Carrion Shade.
Sand Worm immediately retaliates by wiping out the enemies Dhampir Stalker monster ending the first round!
Round 2 begins with Dark Ha'On finally being killed after taking another 3 separate hits but he performed admirably.
The round ends with Sand Worm completely obliterating the Grim Reaper!
Its carnage on the battlefield! š
In round 3 we see Sand Worm picking off Soulstorm from the back.
In round 4 Harklaw is almost killed after taking hits from 3 of my monsters.
Once again the round ends with the mighty Sand Worm killing another enemy the sneaky Silent Sha-Vi.
Round 5 begins with Goblin Mech immediately wiping out Harklaw ensuring my victory! Watch as the last enemy is destroyed!
This was a great battle that i did not expect to win and i would use the same line up again.
