Splinterlands Social Media Challenge - Mantoid The Bird Catcher!

Hey folks, Welcome to this week's social media challenge for the online blockchain game #splinterlands. Here is the Link to enter the challenge.

Each week i will feature a different Monster + Ability with a Battle. This week i am featuring the monster known as Mantoid whilst taking a look at the Snare ability.

Mantoid is a great card which has some excellent stats for a common rarity monster even at level 1.

Here you can see his stats.

Element: Neutral
Attack: Ranged
Abilities: Snipe at level 1 + Snare at level 6.

Abilities

SNIPE - Targets enemy Monsters with Ranged, Magic, or no attack that are not in the first position.

SNARE - When attacking enemies with Flying, removes the Flying ability and cannot miss

This is used best in the Earthquake ruleset where you can be pretty sure your opponent will be playing as many flying monsters as possible. You can see this working to great effect in the battle below.
