Romans 13: 1

Present each person to the higher authorities; because there is no authority except from God, and those that exist by God have been established.

The highest authority of the kingdom of God is God. Above him there is no other superior authority, for this reason, God has always demanded that we be subject to him, not for fear, but for honor and recognition of his great love for giving us a creation (land) as abundant as Grace was in its beginning.

We know that the first creation of God was the angels and then we, the human beings. God demands that he be honored as the highest authority of creation, whether spiritual or natural.

Disobeying God's authority brings judgment. This was what happened with the angelic creation, Lucifer revealed himself against the superior authority of the kingdom of God and this brought judgment for his life with the third part of the angels that followed his rebellion. God did not forgive them, but threw them from heaven to earth.

When God tells us that we must submit to all higher authority, it is because God already has an example in his hands to teach us. God did not find anything good in what Lucifer had done, and this example leads him to the creation of men, to what God tells us:

Present everyone to the higher authorities

This refers to the fact that we must be subject to the authority of the rulers of nations, presidents, governors, mayors, magistrates, military forces, etc.

Going against these authorities says that the Lord implies judgment.

Then, whoever opposes authority, as established by God, resists; and those who resist carry condemnation for themselves (Romans 13: 2).

Who resists an authority established by God, resists God and receives judgments. You must be very careful when you take little, what God says about earthly higher authorities.

In the case of the church, we must be very cautious in political affairs, because regardless of the Word of God, we find ourselves fighting against God when we curse the political leaders of the nations. God will judge every man. The leaders or presidents of the nations will be judged by God.

The fact that a Christian must submit to the superior authorities of his nation, does not imply that he must do exactly what the leaders say, remember the case of the three young people in Babylon who wanted to force them to worship a statue that the king ordered Nebuchadnezzar and they refused, because they only had one true and only God, Jehovah. Although the judgment came to them, God in their love and justice delivered them.

While it is true that we must submit to the higher authorities, it is also true that we must evaluate what governmental requirements I can meet.
