When the person receives an answer from God for his prayers, he feels an immense joy in the deepest part of his being. His joy covers him, and he never ceases to thank God.
If he cried out for healing or for the solution of some problem, and receives from God a response according to his request, in addition to the joy of his heart, his faith also increases.
The life of a Christian focuses on his life of prayer. The only way to receive from God some answer about certain needs, is through prayer. Prayer is the means by which the believer communicates with God and presents his needs. It may happen that the answer is short term, or that it is of a prolonged time, like the case of Abraham, who waited almost 25 years to see the son of the promise. However, the early or late response of the prayer always produces rejoicing in the heart and its positive impact on the faith of the believer.
David wrote in Psalm 30: 2.
Jehovah my God, I cried out to you, and you healed me.
The psalmist apparently had a health problem. His immediate action was to go to God and not to a doctor. He had the full confidence that to cry out to God would receive an answer to his prayer. David cried and confirmed that God healed him.
If the problem is one of health or of another nature, the psalmist teaches that it is better to trust in God. Remember that "God is our refuge and strength, our early help in the tribulations." The Word says that "those who trust in Jehovah are like Mount Zion that does not move but remains forever." God will always be the protector of those who place their trust in him. No matter how much you pass through the waters, the presence of God will be with you permanently.
Do not forget to cry out to God in the middle of the problem. Remember in your heart what David said: "Lord, my God, I cried out to you and you healed me."
