A cordial greeting to the whole community. Depending on the weather or the occasion, we start each day dressing ourselves. However, many believers leave their homes without suspecting, because they do not dress properly for spiritual combat. Therefore, our first prayer before rising should include a gradual, step-by-step application of the entire armor of God.

First we adhere to the belt of truth. Just as a leather apron protected the abdomen of the Roman soldier, our protective belt is the truth of who we are in Christ: saints dressed in supernatural power by the Spirit of God, who dwells within us. When difficult situations arise, we can repel the temptation to sin or live on emotions, whether through anger, fear or discontent, and instead, we can react in a way that honors God.

The good disposition of the gospel of peace helps us to stand firm. The Roman combat sandals had thick soles and iron nails that allowed the soldier to anchor on the ground and remain fixed. No matter how violently the enemy attacks us, we can remain firmly planted knowing who we are in Christ: saints and redeemed children of the living God, with an important message to share with the lost.

The shield of faith is not a small or optional part of the armor, it is a full-body protection that represents the protection of Christ against all that the enemy can throw at us. With full confidence in Christ, we face each battle, knowing that He will give us the victory.

The faith in the grace of God that was shown on the cross brought us salvation, the point of exchange of our old sinful man for a new and eternal life in the Lord Jesus. Consequently, with the rudder of salvation we are placing in the mind of Christ, what gives us discernment and wisdom.

Finally, we wield the sword of the Spirit that is the Word of God, so that we can fight the lies of the enemy with the truth and the promises of the Scriptures.

Knowing exactly what we are going to face each day, the Lord has provided in His grace the perfect equipment we need to face all our challenges. Therefore, make sure you have dressed appropriately for the battle.
