Heaven is a topic that is often debated. But, the Bible's teaching about heaven is very different from what many people think.
There are many opinions about heaven and its purpose. For example:
Many claim that Christians agree with the New Catholic Encyclopedia, which says that heaven is the best place to live for faithful saints to death.
Many people think that if they become good people and religious life, then it will be their provision to enter heaven. But the question is, how confident are we if we are really good. Is it by comparing ourselves with others. Whether comparing ourselves to gossiping neighbors makes us feel good because we never gossip. Do we feel good because we never steal, commit adultery, kill, and commit other sins that we think are great sins. Then what if our environment is a group of pious people who go to church every time there is worship while we only worship on Sundays. Will we feel bad? From the illustration, we know that there is no definite standard that human can be said to be good, those views are also according to human perspective.
