In my country Indonesia often celebrates various festivals. Maybe it's been a little stale just to say this in mid-January, but let me say. Happy New Year 2015. Have you planned to go on vacation where this year? Indonesia is still an attractive vacation destination. While we are still at the beginning of the year, I want to share information on cultural festivals in Indonesia. Who knows Klikers wants to watch it.
Pasola Festival is part of a traditional ceremony performed by Sumba people who still adhere to the original Marapu religion. Pasola comes from the word "sola" or "hola" which means a type of wooden javelin. Pasola (or pahola) is a game of dexterity throwing wooden javelins from the back of a speeding horse. Pasola is played by two groups. Pasola was held in four villages in West Sumba Regency, namely Kodi, Lamboya, and Gaura. Pasola begins with the traditional Nyale ceremony. Nyalli custom is a ceremony to express gratitude for the arrival of the harvest season and the abundance of sea worms on the beach. Nyale traditional ceremonies are held during the full moon and nyale (sea worms) out on the beach. Without getting nyale, Pasola cannot be implemented. Pasola was carried out on a wide stretch of land and was witnessed by local residents, the general public, as well as tourists from various countries.
