Lessons learnt from the live mass indoctrination:
Confess your sins one to another, when you sin against your brother ask for forgiveness from your brother and from God. Don't confess your sins to a Catholic priest as this is not biblical. When your brother errs against you, pray for him for forgiveness from God. If we admit and forsake our sins, we shall have mercy but if we cover it we shall not prosper.
Proverbs 28 vs 13
He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.
Before we pray, God knows what we want to ask for, so we shouldn't use vain repetitions when praying because our God is not a deaf God.
Matthew 6:7&8
7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
If you pray to God with a righteous heart, He will be delighted in your prayer.
There is a household of God on earth which is the church of God. His spirit dwells in His Church (temple). He does not dwell in temples made with hands because temples made with hands is a house of prayer and not a house of God. The spirit dwells in the spiritual house which is a pure heart.
1 Corinthians 3 vs 16
16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
How do we pray?
Prayer is a doctrine but there is a discipline the discipline is that we should pray in orderliness.
1 Corinthians 14vs 40
40 Let all things be done decently and in order.
Do not eat in a gathering, even if you are hungry, you have to follow the discipline.
When praying face the east because the Glory of the God of Israel comes from the east and even the first church was established in the east.
We should pray with a pure heart and a clean tongue.
There are situations that we will find ourselves that no man can help us, only God and you can reach Him through prayer. There is no problem that is bigger than God.
When asking, ask in faith and not with wavering or doubt in your heart and also ask with Thanksgiving.
Hebrews 4 vs 16
16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
James 1 vs 6
6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
