Hello everyone one and welcome to my blog.
Years before now, i used to read anything I come across in printed form. From news papers to story books, animations, evangelism tracks amongst others. During my time in tertiary institute I usually find reading and writing assignments from text books to be fun and I so much dislike research work that has to do with the internets.
I can't really trace this barbaric ideal of mine to any where or link it to any story other than lack of interest and exposure. Let me gist you. When I was in secondary school, SSS2 in particular, our Biology teacher shared some disease and infections for everyone in the class to research on and present in the class.
When I got home,I informed my father about my need to go to the cyber cafe to browse on the infections that I was given to work on but he disagree and refuse to allow me step out of the house stating that all what I need to learn is in the textbooks and not in any other place.
That would have been my first visit to the cafe and my first direct use of the internet but he never allowed it. From then moving forward, anytime I have internet related assignment I didn't bother to mention it to my dad to avoid his anger. I make sure to read and gather information from text books.
Most of the time the informations I get from the textbooks are usually correct but out dated so this usually make me feel like no matter the quality of time I might send on textbooks they may not be able to give me what I truly wanted.
With that knowledge and determination I went to the cyber cafe with a friend from my tertiary institute and he thought me all I needed to know. With that, I was able to source for materials and meet deadline of assignments I would have missed ordinarily.
Then I got an android phone and I started having direct uninterrupted access to the internet from then on the rest has been history. I am glad to inform you that I now prefer soft copy of books to the hard copy and one of my reason is that it is easy to carry.
Apart from easy carriage, making or taking notes of points in an e-book can easily be documented either through your phone note pad or to make screen shot.
Another advantage of e-book is that you can easily access two or more books at the same time when you need to make reference to o them. All i need to do is just to keep the tab open and or minimize one to see the other.
