We went for a walk around Creswell Crags that lies between Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire (UK). Creswell Crags is a limestone gorge with caves situated around a large lake. Some stone tools and animal skulls have been found in the caves by archaeologists and are probably from the last Ice Age.

We took my friend's dog with us. We had to climb over a stone stile but there was a big drop on the other side and Mr Lurcher wouldn't jump over it.

Here he is thinking "don't leave me!!" After taking his coat off for a better grip, my friend ended up lifting him up and passing him to me. It was a two second job to get him onto the slab stone where you'd normally put your feet. Unfortunately, Mr Lurcher wouldn't put his back legs down. I'm shouting "put your legs down" but he wouldn't. My friend quickly got over the stile to help me, but I managed to get him on the floor, bum first. He still wouldn't put his legs down until his bum touched the floor. I was covered in mud because he just clung onto me. I was that muddy, a passing chap asked me if I'd had a tumble.

Thankfully, Mr Lurcher landed in one piece and we carried on our way.

After looking at the views from the top of the hill we set off back to the car, avoiding all stiles!
