As the lovely @dswigle is taking a well earned break from #marketfriday, I did a bit of shopping in my local Poundland Shop. Once upon a time, all pound shops used to sell things for a pound. People used to take great delight in asking the shop workers, "how much is this?" It was just to hear them say "a pound." It was the little things in life that amused us. Nowadays, they sell things for more than a pound. That's inflation for you!
I'm not keen on shopping but cheap shops are different. I enjoy walking around looking at the rubbish things that are on sale and sometimes even buying rubbish things that I didn't even know I wanted, like a Poundland truck! Chocolate and sweets are my downfall, but I stayed strong.
I stumbled across a telephone jail. If anyone took my phone away from me, I'd have to put their head in jail! Nothing comes between me and my phone.
Halloween is fast approaching, so the spooky items have arrived in the store.
Strangely, so had the Christmas goods! Usually, they let Halloween come and go before the Christmas stock arrives. I'm surprised I didn't see any Easter eggs in there as well. Somethings afoot!
I bought what I came in for, laundry gel and kitchen spray, and if you didn't think I didn't buy any chocolate, you are very much mistaken. I just decided not to photograph the evidence!
As I returned to the car park, it was at this point I wished I'd remembered where I'd parked my car ...
Happy #marketfriday initiated by the lovely @dswigle.
