I did a spot of bird watching at a local wood that has several bird feeding stations. It is my favourite spot and is very popular with other bird watchers and photography enthusiasts.
There was a variety of birds that turned up. These are blue tits. They are a lovely mix of blue, yellow, white and green.
These are goldfinches which are quite striking in colour with a bright red face and yellow patches on their wing. The best way to attract them are to put sunflower hearts down.
I could watch them all day. Unfortunately, it was too cold to stand around for too long but the birds were beautiful.
