This morning’s walk took me to the nature reserve for a quiet wander. It is funny how cameras can sometimes trick you because the photos make it look quite bright, but in reality it was much more overcast but still quite mild for November. Still, a brooding sky never stopped anyone from enjoying a proper walk.

Down by the water, the wetland area looked lovely with the reeds swaying in the breeze.

Everything was damp, and I stopped for a moment to look at some dewdrops on the clover leaves right by the path. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any four leaf clovers that mean good luck. A bit further along, I spotted a spider web tangled low in the grass and twigs, also coated in tiny dewdrops.

I walked along the gravel tracks and ducked underneath an old concrete tunnel with the railway line running overhead. Thankfully, no trains went over as it can get quite loud down there.

The paths were mostly quiet, winding past open fields, until I got down to the river.

I didn’t go any further once I got to the bridge as I've not been down this way before and wasn't sure where it led to. I hadn't got much signal on my phone so couldn't check online.

It wasn't a long trek, just a simple way to stretch the legs. Sometimes you do not need bright sunshine to have a nice time outdoors. Just a decent coat and a quiet trail are more than enough.
