Recently, President Trump threatens to cut aid to Pakistan accusing it for harboring terrorists from Afghanistan. According to him, Pakistan does less effort in cracking down terrorism in Afghanistan and he wanted them to do more. Conversely, Pakistan insists of doing so much and would not do more.In August, the US said it was withholding $255m in military assistance to Pakistan until the country increased its efforts to crack down on internal "terrorist" groups.
But how the aids really affect Pakistan? Hussain, the security analyst, said the curtailing of funds to Pakistan by Trump's administration will not have a significant effect on the economy. "There will be a period of difficulty if America stops all aid," he said. "But it will not lead to the complete collapse of Pakistan's economy."
