We’re both old-fashioned, I guess, because for me, the word “friend” isn’t a title you give to just anyone—it’s a title that carries a lot of weight. And I’m not talking about “the need to be there every day,” but rather someone who’s there when I need them without judging me. Friendship involves trust, empathy, and respect for the other person.
It can also happen that you act like a friend, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the other person is your friend too.
