Once, when I lived in Colorado, we would get 'dirt devils'; miniature twisters full of dirt. We had at the time recently moved there and were outside when we saw one headed our way. Didn't think a whole lot about it until I watched it crash into the side of the house where the patio door was open! It blew the screen off the frame and yes, all that dirt went in! Sadly, I could not have moved quick enough to get to the door to shut it as it was off of a deck not accessible from the ground. Oh, what a mess!
