Hello everyone, I welcome you to my blog once again. Happy to write about this top I made for myself with my remaining Kampala. I posted before about sewing a gown with it, which you can read this here

@elizabeth2323/how-i-made-a-line-gown-with-slit so the remaining fabric is what I used to sew this top

The measurement I used

Bust - 34 + 2 inches allowance
Waist-26 + 2 inches allowance
Hip 35 + 2 inches allowance

I used the hip which is the largest measurement

I cut the front first

Top length+ 2 inches

Four inches up for the joining, I cut out the tip of the back to get the neck

To get the back, it will be a full shoulder divided by 2, then you can add allowance, for my full shoulder it is 16 divided by 2, so I used 8 + 1 inch allowance. The armhole is determined by the bust, for me I still used the same back which is 8 since I don't have a big bust.

Two inches folding for down, 1/2 inch for joining, I cut the Round sleeve (RS) and the Sleeve length (SL)

** The flap**

The spacing for the flap can be 4 or 4 and 1/2 inches cut on the top, then add extra inches to the one you will use in folding it, it will be two, one on the right which will be smaller in size, the other one on the left which will be wider, the wider one will extend to the underbust.

The sewing was very easy, after that I tack the button
