Not so many people remembered the Sputnik 1 satalite by the Souviet Union in 1957, but a lot of us have read and seen documentaries about it. Since the artificial new moon touched the sky in 1957, over 10,000 space objects have been sent to space. Although it has been very expensive to travel with object to space as rockets were used only ones but with companies like SpaceX and others working on renewable Rockets, the cost of transporting objects have reduced significantly.
One important thing about Space is that no one can lay claim to the ownership of any space body but they can send objects and get the appraisal of doing it as well as they own objects sent to space. With this, countries are in the race for supremacy in the space world but they can do this alone as the budget isn't enough to cover it but with the help of private firms from the country, both the companies and the country can get the appraisal. With this, SpaceX and Blue Origin have been in a very heavy competition over a lot of space project but one of the interesting ones is the space internet.
In 2019, SpaceX started using its Falcon 9 to launch satellites into earth's orbit with the aim of providing internet from space. SpaceX has launched about 1000 satellite and the aim is to launch 12,000 satellite.
Amazon also plans to do the same thing with Project Kuiper both aiming to provide faster internet and accessible internet for people in the rural areas on earth. Although Amazon hasn't launched any satallite but they will be launching over 30,000 satalites.
Starlink already started testing its satellite, but Amazon hasn't started any testing yet and it needs to launch at least a few satellite in other to get FCC approval to continue. It is true that this two have been competing a lot and now they still have to compete for the title of the richest person in the world.
