The Bible teaches us that no one is saved by works, but nevertheless the Christian who has faith must have works. James does not say them in chapter 2: 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead.
Santiago explains in this verse that dead faith does not produce works. and see the context of the same chapter where James says: My brothers, what will it profit if someone says he has faith and has no works? Can faith save him? these words must be deepened to interpret it in the correct way. - I believe that the faith of which Santiago is speaking is of that false faith that many presume without having works.
Remember that the Bible says that the devil also believes in God he has a dead faith, because he only recognizes the existence of God also he who says he has faith but has no works facts that testify of that faith.
Good works are the result of saving faith, is not in itself a factor that contributes to salvation or that sustains our salvation because if this were the case then the salvation would be by works and it is not so, we already know that we are not Saved by work.
It is important to say that the person of faith must have works or fruits of that faith and not of the mouth but with facts.
In the Bible there are countless examples of people with faith who highlighted their works or deeds.
For example we can mention: The woman who touched the mantle of Jesus, the centurion, the paralytic man who was put through the roof to be healed by Jesus, Naaman when he was sent to submerge in the water to heal leprosy etc.
So the one who has faith also has works.
