En esta oportunidad estaré compartiendo con la comunidad deportiva de HIVE, lo que fue mi experiencia en un torneo de ajedrez a ritmo activo, 30 minutos para cada jugador, sin incremento de tiempo por jugada. Quiero confesarles que me encantan las partidas en las que dispongo de bastante tempo, porque se profundiza más en la posición, a parte que siento que mientras mas tiempo dispongo en mi reloj, mejor se me dan las cosas. En este orden de ideas, estaré analizando los momentos mas importantes de las 05 partidas que disputé en este fuerte torneo, organizado por “La Familia del Ajedrez” conformada por destacados ajedrecistas del Perú.
ENGLISH
In this opportunity I will be sharing with the HIVE sports community, what was my experience in a chess tournament at active pace, 30 minutes for each player, without time increment per move. I want to confess that I love the games in which I have enough time, because it deepens more in the position, besides I feel that the more time I have on my watch, the better things happen. In this order of ideas, I will be analyzing the most important moments of the 05 games I played in this strong tournament, organized by "La Familia del Ajedrez" formed by outstanding chess players of Peru.
De las cinco partidas que disputé obtuve 03 victorias y 02 tablas, por lo que me siento feliz, y este resultado me permitió ocupar el cuarto lugar. Esto me inspira a seguir entrenando duro para seguir avanzando cada vez en la comprensión de este maravilloso juego como lo es el Ajedrez.
Of the five games I played I obtained 03 wins and 02 draws, so I feel happy, and this result allowed me to occupy the fourth place. This inspires me to continue training hard to keep advancing each time in the understanding of this wonderful game like Chess.
En la primera partida me tocó jugar con la pequeña Cutipa Aliz, allí en la imagen el momento capturad de este interesante encuentro. La partida disputada la puedes apreciar en la siguiente imagen animada:

Y el momento más crítico de la misma fue este, donde mi rival tenía que haberse resignado a perder la pareja de alfiles, a través de la defensa de su alfil de “d3” con su rey, dado que ya no había Reinas, la pérdida del enroque no era tan grave en ese momento. No obstante la jugada “Ab5” fue un grave error que me permitió obtener una importante ventaja.
And the most critical moment of it was this one, where my opponent should have resigned himself to lose the bishop pair, through the defense of his bishop on "d3" with his king, since there were no more queens, the loss of the castling was not so serious at that moment. Nevertheless, the move "Bb5" was a serious mistake that allowed me to obtain an important advantage.
En el recurso audiovisual se expanden estos análisis, no obstante acá se aprecia el momento donde la combinación que realicé me permitió alzarme con una torre de ventaja, sentenciando rápidamente la partida en las siguientes jugadas.

La segunda partida también tuve un resultado favorable logrando vencer al joven atleta Marco Miranda, venía inspirado de mi primera victoria, así que algo me decía que sería una bonita partida, y esa es una de las cosas más importantes, jugar con toda la actitud, y amar lo que estamos haciendo.
The second game I also had a favorable result beating the young athlete Marco Miranda, I came inspired from my first victory, so something told me that it would be a nice game, and that is one of the most important things, to play with all the attitude, and love what we are doing.

Y desde mi parecer el momento crítico de la partida es cuando mi rival entrega voluntariamente el alfil de casillas negras por mi caballo de “c3”, una gran imprecisión que trajo graves consecuencias para su posición, y es que como principio general cambiar el afil del Fianchetto y dejar con vida el alfil rival es algo que puede resultar muy peligroso.
And from my point of view, the critical moment of the game is when my opponent voluntarily gives up the black squares bishop for my knight on "c3", a great inaccuracy that brought serious consequences for his position, and as a general principle, changing the Fianchetto's affiliate and leaving the opponent's bishop alive is something that can be very dangerous.
En el recurso audiovisual se expanden estos análisis, sin embargo en el tablero mural pueden apreciar el desenlace de la partida, donde logré abrir la columna “f” y ejercer una importante presión con mis dama y torres al rey enemigo, posición en la que mi ventaja era realmente abrumadora.
In the audiovisual resource these analyses are expanded, however on the wall board you can appreciate the outcome of the game, where I managed to open the "f" column and exert an important pressure with my queens and rooks to the enemy king, a position in which my advantage was really overwhelming.
Un primer día del torneo bastante bien, logré dos victorias, lamentablemente la primera ronda la perdí por Walkover, es decir, llegué tarde y le otorgaron el punto a mi oponente. Pero jugué con toda la actitud la siguiente ronda y obtuve este interesante resultado. Llega el día siguiente, para una nueva partida, tocándome enfrentar con piezas negras al joven atleta Ayaqui Ayerve.
A pretty good first day of the tournament, I achieved two victories, unfortunately the first round I lost by Walkover, that is, I arrived late and they awarded the point to my opponent. But I played with all the attitude the next round and got this interesting result. The next day arrives, for a new game, I had to face with black pieces the young athlete Ayaqui Ayerve.
Te comparto lo que fue la partida, que a pasar de la que la gané, tuve momentos importantes para definir aún más rápido, veamos la partida:

Cuando logro hacer caballo “c2” la visión túnel me llevó a que tenía que comerme la torre, pero lo mejor era hacer un potente doblete con el caballo como se aprecia en el siguiente imagen, y ganar así la Dama, posiblemente mi rival allí se rendiría.
When I managed to make knight "c2" the tunnel vision led me to think that I had to eat the rook, but the best thing to do was to make a powerful double with the knight as shown in the following image, and thus win the queen, possibly my opponent would surrender there.
Por otro lado, me siento muy contento de haber encontrado la jugada que dio inicio a toda esta combinación, un “b5” clave con el que aproveché la mala situación del rey y piezas enemigas.
On the other hand, I am very happy to have found the move that started this whole combination, a key "b5" with which I took advantage of the bad situation of the enemy king and pieces.
El torneo siguió su marcha, y una de las cosas del sistema suizo es que en la medida que ganas, el rival que tocará en la siguiente ronda tenderá a ser mas fuerte que el anterior. Y en efecto así fue, me toco enfrentarme al joven talento Rafael Mosoco, acá uno de los momentos en la sala de juego:
The tournament went on, and one of the things about the Swiss system is that as you win, the opponent that will play in the next round will tend to be stronger than the previous one. And indeed so it was, I had to face the young talent Rafael Mosoco, here is one of the moments in the playing room:

Hubo un momento clave donde se me escapó un importante detalle táctico con el que podía haber conseguido una ventaja decisiva; y es que en medio de la presión del tiempo se me escapó ver el tema de mate en la octava fila, como se aprecia en el siguiente diagrama:
There was a key moment when I missed an important tactical detail that could have given me a decisive advantage; in the middle of the time pressure I missed the mate theme in the eighth row, as shown in the following diagram:
La jugada Dxe2 ganaba material, mi rival tenía que resignarse a quedar con esta torre de menos, lo que para mi significaría una gran ventaja para en pocos movimientos sentenciar la partida a mi favor. Por otro lado, si mi rival aceptaba el sacrificio de Dama era Jaque Mate en pocas jugadas:
The move Dxe2 won material, my opponent had to resign himself to be left with this rook less, which for me would mean a great advantage to settle the game in my favor in a few moves. On the other hand, if my opponent accepted the queen sacrifice it was checkmate in a few moves:
Sin embargo este resultado de tablas me hizo sentir contento, y llegué con toda la inspiración a enfrentarme contra el jugador mas fuerte del torneo, nada más y nada menos que Elfer Cutipa, Maestro Nacional de ajedrez en el Perú con una amplia trayectoria en el deporte de las 64 casillas.
However, this result of a draw made me feel happy, and I arrived with all the inspiration to face the strongest player of the tournament, none other than Elfer Cutipa, National Master of chess in Peru with an extensive experience in the sport of 64 squares.

Una partida realmente fascinante de la que me siento muy orgulloso, y que es una fuente de inspiración para seguir día a día entrenando duro, para mejorar cada vez más. La partida solo tuvo un único momento crítico, donde a Elfer le quedaba aproximadamente un minuto de tiempo y a mi escasos segundos en el reloj, y Elfer juega un “a5”, en lugar de Rg5 para ya sentenciar tablas:
A really fascinating game of which I feel very proud, and which is a source of inspiration to keep training hard every day, to improve more and more. The game had only one critical moment, where Elfer had about a minute of time left and I had only a few seconds left on the clock, and Elfer played "a5" instead of Rg5, and it was a draw:
Acá en el apuro de tiempo reacciono con “b4” lo que produjo simplificación algunos peones en el flanco Dama, y posteriormente Elfer juego Rg5, sentenciando las tablas. Resulta que ante este “a5” yo tenia un Rh4 que le complicaba las cosas a las negras, quizás con más tiempo la hubiese podido encontrar, pero igual la conitniuación noera nada sencilla. A que con segundos en el reloj, en una posición donde toto está tranquilo, es mejor no forzar las cosas, y estas tablas no me caían nada mal, acá la posición donde ya en mi mente había aceptado que la partida era tablas, como en efecto terminó.
Here in the time pressure I reacted with "b4" which simplified some pawns on the queenside, and later Elfer played Rg5, sentencing the draw. It turns out that before this "a5" I had a Rh4 that complicated things for Black, perhaps with more time I could have found it, but still the situation was not simple. With seconds on the clock, in a position where everything is calm, it is better not to force things, and this draw was not bad for me, here the position where in my mind I had already accepted that the game was a draw, as in fact it ended.
