Some people wish they had a huge house with a pool, a playroom, a home cinema, a huge fireplace or many living rooms, when at the same time I could happily live in a 27 square meters IKEA room -with a decent closet for my clothes though :P . I don't dream of huge houses, with 8 bathrooms, 3 kitchens and 17 bedrooms. What's the point of having so many? And who is going to clean this place??
My own dream house has only one extra room.. The "puzzle room". A room with a huge dinning table in the middle where I can spread all the pieces and solve my puzzles, good lighting and walls decorated with the ones I have already finished. Ahhh, this would be just perfect. This would be my happy place, my quiet place. I love puzzles so much. Ever since I remember myself, solving puzzles was the ultimate way to have fun and it still is.
When I spend my time solving puzzles it feels exactly like meditation. In the beginning random thoughts come into my mind rapidly, without coherence. With every piece I put in place I welcome every thought and then I let it go. After a while all that I focus on are the shapes and colours of my pieces. I feel like floating in my mind..
These hours, the ones you spend on your own, doing what you love, focusing on your thoughts or thinking about nothing are precious. Every time you dedicate some time for yourself you go a bit deeper, you get to know you a bit better. So I guess a room dedicated to puzzles is really worth it...
