One of the main weaknesses that the human being possesses is lodged in the mind, since it is the types of thoughts that determine in a high percentage the result that arises from the words declared and the actions executed. The thoughts are definitive in the performance of people in the spiritual, personal, family, social, etc. A negative thought can frustrate the triumph of someone, can annul dreams and interrupt or sabotage the success for which a person has sacrificed so much and many people in this situation always ask the same question. Why do I never achieve anything that I want? in this case it would be good to find the root of the problem:
The thoughts vary depending on the context, the experiences, the learning and especially the relationships that have been established throughout life. In the science of psychology there is a term called "Self", this is the "self", it is like the identity of a person. According to psychological theories, the relationships established with parents from the first stages of life have a considerable influence on the establishment of future relationships; that is, the way in which people have related to their parents determines to a large extent, the way in which they relate to others and subsequently the relationships established with these others, can reinforce a positive value of themselves or on the contrary reinforce the negative value that a person brought of himself.
This is not new, God himself established the family as the first model of relationship for people, our parents are the first models to follow and much of what we are is learned from them. Only until we have conviction of what we are, we make decisions to be what we choose to be, whether good or bad, but the fundamental pillars for that choice were those people who exercised their role as fathers in our lives. For this reason, it is so important that God be part of the home, because the parents are called to reflect the love of God, example and inspiration for their children, parents without God, is like a captain of a ship without a rudder. God established the family in order to raise his followers and parents have a great responsibility in this divine purpose.
"And you, fathers, do not make your children angry, but raise them according to the discipline and instruction of the Lord" Ephesians 6: 4 (New International Version).
Now, maybe your parents were not necessarily those exemplary parents, but at least you already have a starting point to begin to scrutinize and know a little more than you thought you knew, it is from there where the change and metamorphosis arise why we have to go through if we want to get out of our interior the true essence with which God created us.
Unfortunately the value of themselves of most people depends on the value that others give them and with greater reason in the society in which we find ourselves, where consumerism, materialism, power and recognition take on more value. that superficial for the people, because many in their eagerness to have, to know or to be what the society demands to them, leave of a side their true essence, their true identity, their true value of themselves.
The first thing that must be taken into account then is who we are, what our identity is and that identity does not depend on what others think or say about us, that does not depend on what we have or what we are not. Most of the negative thoughts that exist in the mind are alien, are thoughts put in place by other people, by society or by circumstances not so pleasant that has been crossed. Our thoughts can be changed and God has given us the authority to do so, and above all when we have an identity in Christ Jesus, because once we give him our heart, it is he who becomes, that ideal and worthy model to imitate.
Only Jesus Christ has the power to renew our mind, He is the only one who can take out all those captive thoughts that have had us labeled in the course of our life and that has not allowed us to be what we really are. The task of learning to unlearn is quite difficult but the satisfactory thing of this work is that now we are not alone to do it, now we have someone with a supernatural power that will make our mind completely clean of all the garbage that we have stored during our existence .
Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on the new nature, created to be in the likeness of God, who is truly righteous and holy. Ephesians 4: 23-24 (New Living Translation).
We have to change the file of our mind for the archive of the kingdom of heaven, we have to change our thoughts for the thoughts of God and the results will be victorious. Our mind can become our worst enemy, but we have the mind of a wise and powerful man, the mind of Jesus. We already know who He is, we know that He loves us and we know that His love can do everything in us, so all we have to do is let ourselves be carried by His hand, He renews us like eagles and makes us new wineskins where only his love is poured out, once our mind is renewed with the thoughts of God, we are what He made of us when He created us, our self-worth no longer depends on the value that others give us, our self-worth depends of the value that Jesus has given us since the beginning of our creation. Have the same way of thinking that Jesus Christ had. Philippians 2: 5 (Current Language Translation).
Lord, Heavenly Father, renew our mind and take away all captive thoughts that have prevented us from being what you have sent us to be since you thought to create us!
