Dear Hive Community, first of all, as always, I would like to welcome you to my new post and hope you had a great start to the new weekend! Today I would like to talk about mythology and hope you can learn something new.
Here are some pictures that I have created with the help of artificial intelligence and represent the goddess of the morning breeze aura from the Greek mythology. She is associated with the element wind and is also known as the personification of the wind and she often appears as a companion of the goddess of hunting Artemis. The origin is not completely clear and according to traditions, her parents are the nymph Periboea as well as the Titan Lelantos and according to other sources her mother is the goddess Cybele who is also known as the godmother of the world. As a companion of Artemis, she had to remain a virgin and one of her characteristics was to be as fast as the wind, which was of course an advantage to help her better with the hunt. Aura is usually portrayed as a beautiful woman and according to a legend, the god of wine Dionysus once fell in love with her and since she did not accept her, he seduced her and fathered two children with her and out of rage Aura decided to take revenge on Dionysus and tried to kill her children and one of them could be saved by Artemis.
In Greek mythology, she plays a rather subordinate role and does not often appear in legends and is depicted in various works of art such as sculptures, paintings or vases. The term aura also means as much as shine or shimmer and is also often associated with the invisible energy field which is surrounding the body and is known from spiritual teachings. An aura is also often referred to as the eighth chakra and radiates from inside of the body to the outside and envelops the body with a measurable field which is often associated with protection as well as a healthy mind. When the aura is not in tact, the body is more susceptible to external influences such as diseases or negativity and there are also ways to make the aura field visible as through aura photography, for example. People who are spiritually well developed often have an aura field that can radiate several kilometres and from a spiritual point of view this is of great importance and I always find it interesting how many connections there are to Greek mythology.
Thanks for taking the time to read through my post and I hope you like it and can learn something new about this interesting topic!
