Say no
When the inner liar
Tries to steal your face
Say no
Don’t let your soul
Get lost
In that twisted place
Where the nice words
Dull your senses
So you can numbly
Kill your light
Dumbly ignore
What’s right
Say no
To the liar
Don’t give control
To the liar
Don’t whisper those fine lies
That are killing, killing
The true you

This one is for anyone (myself included) who's ever fallen into the trap of mentally repeating a lie that was easier to believe than the truth. It feels better and sometimes you may not even realize you're doing it at all but it's a dangerous way to live. If you get really good at it, you can find yourself making all sorts of decisions that would immediately strike you as ill-advised if you weren't actively altering your perception of things that are painful to see.

On the bright side, it's a habit that can be broken if you're willing to work at it.

Peace ☮️.
