In the effort of bringing more contributions in Utopian.io from diverse communities I am opening this contest for WordPress today!
WordPress is the most famous blogging platform in the world and it is Open Source: https://github.com/wordpress/wordpress
Utopian.io rewards contributions to Open Source projects with the Utopian Bot, powered by 560K SP and with the votes of the wonderful and supportive community around it.
A project is Open Source when its codebase is public and editable, accessible by everyone. WordPress is Open Source, but also Steemit is Open Source, Busy is Open Source, Chrome is Open Source, many Facebook technologies are Open Source and there are millions of Open Source projects out there. Most of them are hosted on the famous platform Github.com. Utopian.io links your contributions with the related project on Github.
Contributing means you are doing something concrete for a specific Open Source project and using Utopian.io to share your work. The work must be verifiable and there must be a real effort behind it or the Utopian moderators will never allow your post in Utopian.
Contributions submitted under this category are the most important ones, therefore they must provide as much details as possible. Ideas and feature requests must be well explained and in great details. They must include images or videos and include any necessary information for the idea/feature to be built in actual code.
Contributions under this category must include links to pull requests, branches, forks etc. where the code has been submitted.
Contributions under this category must include all the possible information for reproducing the bug. Devices, Internet connection speed, Browser version and similar info are necessary to reproduce the submitted bugs.
Translations can be either submitted directly on the Utopian post or there must be a link to the translated files, in order to verify the work done.
Graphics can be either submitted directly on the Utopian post or there must be a link to the layouts, logos and creativity in general, in order to verify the work done.
Documentation can be either submitted directly on the Utopian post or there must be a link to the newly created or updated documentation, in order to verify the work done.
Analyses realised for an Open Source project have to written directly on the Utopian post or there must be links, charts, etc. to very what has been done. The contribution must also explain in great details why the analyses have been conducted and how.
These contributions serve as a way to bring more visibility to an Open Source project. They must include links to social network posts, adv and similar, plus the results of the visibility effort.
In this category I must provide proof of the visibility effort I am doing to bring more contributors to WordPress. Here we go
