There are many people who do not truly understand what poverty or hunger feels like; they only know it through definitions and statistics. That part of your post was extremely powerful.
I also agree with every point you mentioned in your post, especially the danger of making the financial data of honest, hardworking people completely transparent. Instead of increasing safety, it could easily turn ordinary citizens into targets for criminals, scams, and other malicious activities.
