Many of us have many negative mindset which we have programmed into our minds. This could be because of our background, environment, the company we keep and the things we open our minds to.
A fish for instance, can best function as a fish and can only survive in water. As long as the fish remains in water, survival is guaranteed. This is what many of us need to note. The words of Socrates, the Great Classical Greek Philosopher, comes to mind at this point, "Man know thyself. An unexamined life is not worth living". You need to really know yourself so as to be the best you can ever be.
You must understand the environment that works for you. Also, one fact that cannot be ignored is that everyone has his/her strengths & weaknesses. Even at the point of a job interview, you would be asked "What are your strengths & weaknesses" Many that have not understood themselves, take time to browse the internet to get reasonable points, enough to convince (or confuse) the interviewer.
If you don't really understand yourself, you might end up concentrating on things that do not really matter. In other words, you will end up spending major time on minor things that are not needful to your goals & aspirations. Not understanding yourself also makes many to copy others instead of living the lives they were created to be. John Mason said, "You were born an original. Do not die a copy." You can fully know yourself by a close & conscious examination of your life.
As a person, do you fully understand your temperaments, talents & your vision/destiny? Your destiny basically has to do with the very purpose for which you are on earth. It has everything to do with the assignment that only you can accomplish. No other person on earth has the ability to fulfill your destiny. That is the very reason why you have to take responsibility for your life.
No one will do it for you. There are other lives whose survival depends on your destiny fulfillment. You need to come to the level of awareness that your destiny needs to be magnified. The whole world is waiting for you. Don't keep them waiting for too long. Develop and use your talents for the fulfillment of your destiny.
PUT YOUR TALENTS TO WORK! One thing about talents is that they are given to you in the raw, unprocessed form, it is your duty to refine and bring out the "finished product" to the world. No one is without at least one talent. Your talents are the gifts that are attached to your destiny.
They are meant to assist you in fulfilling your destiny. The talents are not necessarily for you, they were given to you just for the sake of those your destiny is connected to.

Many times, we tend to be carried away and boast about how talented we are without focusing our attention on the purpose of the talent. If you must effectively use your talents to fulfill your destiny, then you must understand your temperament. Your temperament is the basic building block of your character & personality.
Having a full understanding of it will help you in your relationship with others & even yourself. Have a sizeable understanding of your Strengths, Weaknesses , Temperaments, Talents & Destiny.
You really need to know what works for you and what doesn't. This cuts across many aspects of your life. Know the friends, books, environment & materials that suits your destiny and make sure you keep them very close.
Give yourself to them and they will definitely build you up. You can be a genius if you can discover & devote yourself to your destiny fulfillment.
What do you do with your strengths & weaknesses?
For your strengths, you only have to keep on consolidating on them. Keep building up your "strength muscles" by constantly developing yourself. Read that book, get the necessary materials & continue until the genius in you is announced to the whole world. As for your weaknesses, make sure you work on them. Weaknesses are the habits & lifestyles that are ANTI-DESTINY FULFILLMENT.
Allowing them only ends up relegating your life to that of a mediocre and that would definitely destroy the genius in you. The bottom line is, for you to be a genius, you must starve your weaknesses to death & feed your strengths to life.
The difference between an average person and a genius is, in the life of a mediocre, the weaknesses are greater than the strengths (because they allow & focus more on their weaknesses than their strengths) but in the life of a genius, the strengths are much greater than the weaknesses because they constantly work on those weaknesses and turn them to strengths.
This is The Defining Difference. The wise do a lot of work in not exposing their weaknesses to their enemies because in warfare, your revealed weakness becomes the strength of your enemies. So, understand yourself and the genius in you will definitely speak!
