--These poignant poems come from a writing collective on Mastodon where there is a daily haiku prompt. I always try to find a spin on the word of the day that is unexpected. As it is autumn I pulled in references from significant seasonal events from the autumn collection of maple syrup (yes spring is more plentiful but you can also collect in the fall) to attending family events where one doesn’t fit in.
