In the year 2016, many Nexus 6p users reported an issue with its software, where the Huawei version of Nexus (Nexus 6p) entered a bootloop stage and the mobile phone will not past the Google Logo during booting. This issue could not be fixed even when the phone is factory resetted.

Hurray! An unofficial fix has been released by XDA members (XCnathan32 and rchtk). In order to apply the fix, the user is required to download and flash some modified system image files that will circumvent the bootloop by disabling the larger CPU cluster. However, the greater cluster of the CPU doesn’t allow the phone function properly, hence the modified boot image file allows the phone to use half of its CPU cores leading to a degraded performance.

So far, Google hasn’t issued a fix officially but has rather informed the phone owner/users with the issue to send their bootlooping phones for replacement. The good news here is that the owners of this mobile phone who can’t reach out to google or whose warranty has expired can still revive their device using this tip.
