God is the most high, the creater of heaven and Earth and all things in it. I will use this opportunity to share the word of God from the preaching on day 11. God is a merciful God so he want us to show mercy to the less privillaged. God said in His word that we should love our neighbor as ourselves. No one can claim he love God but hate his brother. Today's teachings is based on sacrices and thanksgiving to God and giving to the needy.
God do not like ungreatful person, He need to be thanked for all the good things He has been doing for us. Anyone who offers Thanksgiving as his sacrifices glorifies God.
Psalm 50:23
The one who offers Thanksgiving as a sacrifice glorifies me; to one who offers his way rightly I will show the salvation of God.
Psalm 116:18
I will pay my vows to the Lord in the presence of all his people.
The Lord in heaven did and are still doing great things for every individuals. He protected and are still protecting us from evil doing. Through the preaching, the man of God said, the Lord is the cause of our successful business and all the good things surrounding us. He deserve to be thanked for all the mercy He has been showing us.
Psalm 116:17
I will offer to you the sacrifice of Thanksgiving and the call on the name of the Lord. People offer sacrifices to God in the Church.
We must give to God what He deserves. We must help the church to grow and be a place where peoples will be willing to be there always. We should give offering from our heart not under compulsion for God loves cheerful giver.
2Corinthians 9:7
Each one must give us he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion for God loves a cheerful giver. We should give to the needy from our heart. We help our prothers and sisters if we have the means to. We should love one another because you can not love God and despise your brother.
We should always let the peace of God rule in our heart for this is what the Lord expect from us. We should be thankful to God for His mercy.
Colinssians 3:15
And let the peace of Christ rule in your heart, to which indeed you were called in one body and be thankful.
Thessalonians 5:18
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
We should give thanks to the Lord whether good or bad. His Mercy on us is abundant. We should give to the church for it to use to grow the church.
Not giving to the church only shows kindness to God. God expect us to give to the needy. Giving to your brother in pure heart is just like giving to God in heaven. Many people strugles to get a two square meal a day but some have it in abundant. Let show mercy to our needy brothers for if we done this, we are doing it for God for it is said in the holy scripture that, giving it to your brother is giving it God.
Mathew 6:3
But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, for so that your giving may be in secret. And your father who sees in secret will reward you.
We should give from our heart. We shouldn't expect praises for our kindness to others. Let not draw attention from every body because we are helping them. Let it be between you and him and
the Lord who sees in secret knows what you have done and He will reward you for that. Many peoples always feel proud when they give an assistance to others. They want everyone to know of their kindness. God do not want that from us. Let give from our heart and God will reward us abundantly.
Mathew 6:2
This, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the street, that they may be praise by others. Truely I say to you, they have received their reward.
Walking around telling peoples of your good deeds is forbidden by God. It is not good for servants of God to indulge in such practice. Don't help someone and expecting the world to know of it. It should remained with you and the person. God we serve know what you have been doing and he will reward you for that.
Let not forget the widows too for they need help from those who can help. They have no one to go for help. We the servants of god have to assist them to meet their basic needs. For this is what God always expect from his children.
Religion is not there for fun but to help one another. Many people thought we just go to Church to have fun which is bad and contrary from the concept of religion. Religion is there to serve God and help one another. We can not call ourselves believers but do not help the needy among us.
James 1:27
Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.
We should see orphans and widows as our own. Let help them to meet their needs for this is what god expect from us. Let give to the needy and we will be blessed by God. Let also give thanks and sacrifices to God for his kindness on us.
