I am so sorry guys, it has been a few days since I make my plast post and also my activities on Hive. I was a little bit busy with the ceremony at the temple, and the main wedding ceremony of one of the member of my big family temple.
In this post I would not talk about the wedding, because I didn't have any photos during the procession, and also on the main wedding day I didn't attend as I have to babysit my two son's, my wife who went there instead.
Ok now I want to show you one of the weird delicacy that we usually make on every traditional occasion. We made it because it is one of the offering that we will use, and then most of the time when we make it, we need to make it in big number because there is no chance for us to make it in small quantity.
We called it lawar one of the traditional food that mostly made of pork, although there are some of the duck, buffalo, or veal version, but most of the time we use pork.
Why I called it weird because it basically made of pork and coconut and a bunch of spicies. Here in the photo below is th portioned lawar that we wil bring home from the temple.
it looks nice and colotful isn't it? can you guess why it has the red color?
If you think of blood, yeah you guest it right. We use raw pork blood in this food, but of course we use lime to cure it a little bit, more of less like in the raw seafood. And also a bunch of local spices also played part for it, Don't ask me about the food safety, and also any scientific evidence that support the safety of this food, but it is what it is, one of the food that we have, and I believe some of you might find it weird.
Here is the shot of the temple compound during the preparation.
Another shot from the preparation. And I didn't take the photo for the ceremony, because I was busy taking care of my full of energy son. hahaha
