I am walking down this hospital corridor with my mother. We have just visited my aunt—my mother's older sister—who is being treated here.
For the past few months, my aunt's condition has fluctuated. Her blood platelet count sometimes stays normal but at other times plummets; this time, it dropped so drastically that she required a blood transfusion.
Walking down this corridor reminds me of the time my grandmother was also treated in one of the rooms along this hallway. I just passed the very room where she stayed years ago—the place where I kept her company for several days.
Ah, there are so many memories in this hospital.
